Timothy Hurt, Sr.

Timothy Wayne Hurt Sr., 55, of Porterville, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 23, 2021. He was the son of Fern Hill and Glenn Hurt.
Tim was adventurous, funny, a great man of faith, selfless in all he did. He was a compassionate, loving father, husband, son, brother and friend. He showed us what it truly meant to live life to the fullest. He will be greatly missed, but forever in our hearts. Tim served and loved others well. He had a heart for people. This was evident in the way he lived his life. He volunteered in multiple youth programs including PHS Band and HCC youth ministry where he helped lead several missions trips. He served the community and desired to see God transform the lives of Porterville.
Tim was young at heart. He enjoyed dirt bike riding, adventure parks, and anything Disney, Star Trek and Star Wars. He enjoyed performing in the community theater.
Tim is preceded in death by his father, Glenn Hurt and his brothers Jimmy and Gary Hurt.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Hurt; his children, Kenneth Sears, Kristi Aldinger, and Timothy Wayne Hurt Jr. (TJ), as well as his grandson, Liam Aldinger, and his grandmother Wilba Hurt, his mother Fern Hill and Stepfather James Hill, and his sister Misty Mackey.
The memorial service will be held at the Hillside Community Church of Porterville at 10AM on Thursday, October 28, 2021.
