Sharon Marie Levasseur, a longtime resident of Strathmore, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her children, (Darrell Gaul, Sherry Fox, Tammy Mitchell, Daniel Levasseur and Amanda Levasseur) many of her grandchildren and her husband of 43 years, Darrell.
Sharon was born July 11, 1945 in Fullerton, California to Madeline Riddle and Ralph Oneal.
In August of 2019 Sharon was diagnosed with cancer and after several surgeries, countless trips to Cedar Sinai hospital for radiation treatments, the days and nights seemed endless. Sharon never gave up hope and never complained. Sharon’s endless optimism, belief in God gave her the strength needed to always look forward to the day when she would be able get back to spending time with her children and grandchildren that she loved so dearly.
Sharon will always be remembered for her boundless energy and a smile that could light up the world! Not a day will go by without remembering the joy, love and happiness that Sharon brought to us, those memories will remain in our hearts forever. Sharon, we love and will miss you so very much.
On April 17, 2021 Sharon lost her battle to cancer.
There will be a viewing at Myers Funeral Home Porterville on Friday the 23rd from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. A Graveside service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park on Friday the 23rd at 2:00 PM.
