Ruby R. Facio

On Friday, May 31, 2024 Ruby was called home and passed away peacefully. Ruby was born on December 15, 1941 in Hanford, CA to Nicasio and Rosa Rodriguez. She was 82.

Growing up Ruby had to help her parents out in the fields. Picking cotton wasn't her favorite thing to do, but she had lots of fun playing in it. She graduated from Burton and Porterville High School. Ruby went on to work in a packing house and that's where she met her future husband, Alex. Ruby and Alex were married on September 27, 1969. On December of 1972, Ruby and Alex welcomed a daughter, which they named Alexandra. Ruby nicknamed her "Nani" as Alexandra was placed in her arms.

Ruby was a Teacher's assistant at Olive Street School for 32 years. She was loved and admired by all her students. Ruby learned that she inspired several of her students to become Teachers. She attended the Church of the Nazarene and Port Naz for many years since 1978. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Ruby enjoyed listening to music, doing word search puzzles, and watching television. Two of her favorite shows were Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, but she especially liked reality T.V. shows. Ruby was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys and became a fan of the Milwaukee Bucks.

Ruby is survived by her daughter, Alexandra "Nani" Facio of Porterville, CA; two brothers, Fred Rodriguez of Redwood City, CA and Felix Rodriguez of San Jose, CA; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alex Facio; parents, Nicasio and Rosa Rodriguez; sisters, Helen Quijas, Mary Martinez, Herky, Margie, Ida and Katie Rodriguez; brothers, Eugene, Romeo, Jesse, Rudy and Julio Rodriguez; as well as her fur son/baby "Wilson", who passed before her on May 15, 2024.

Ruby will be highly missed by all who love her. Enjoy your new beautiful Journey in Heaven with God. A Visitation will be held at Myers Chapel in Porterville, CA on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Graveside Service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Porterville, CA on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at 11:00 AM.
