Roy Wieland, 81, passed away peacefully on June 16th, 2021, after his long battle with cancer. He spent his last days in the comfort of his home surrounded by his closest family.
Roy was born August 4th, 1939 in Norman, Oklahoma to Eddie and Marie Wieland. He was a resident of Tulare County for over 50 years and attended Strathmore High School.
On November 9th, 1968, he married his high school sweetheart, Wava, they were married for 51 years, until her passing in September, 2020. He is also preceded in death by his daughter, Walene Post. He is survived by his brothers, Mike and Richard Wieland; his children, Donna Collett, Jeff Smith (son-in-law), Keith Post, and Shannon McEachern (daughter-in-law); his grandchildren, Sabrina Post, Krista Collett, Dayna Collett, and Blake Taff; and his great-grandchildren, Zarina Medina, Rosalyn Juarez, Isabel Lozada, Jacob Post, Matthew Catter, and Tristan White.
Roy was an incredible father, grandfather, husband, and friend. He enjoyed playing country music and taking his family on camping trips. He will be remembered for his caring nature and kind heart. He has touched the lives of many.
Visitation will be held at Myers Chapel in Porterville on Wednesday, June 30th, 2021 from 4:00 Pm to 7:00 PM. A Graveside Service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Porterville on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at 10:00 AM.
