Rocco Calantone passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024, surrounded by his loving family, after a long and painful battle with bone cancer. He is now pain-free, and can HEAR!
He was born in New Jersey, but moved to Porterville, California 26 years ago to be near his family. Rocco was an avid deep-sea fisherman and deer hunter.
Rocco is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sandy Calantone, his daughter, Diane Taylor (and her husband Rich), his three grandchildren, Danica Taylor, Cassidy Weimer (Ryelee), and Nicholas Taylor. He is also survived by his sister, Jane Clark of New Jersey, sister-in-law, Terry Amato of La Jolla, CA, and numerous family and friends, whom he held dear to his heart.
A Visitation will be held at Myers Chapel in Porterville, CA on Thursday, October 10, 2024 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. A Rosary will be held at Myers Chapel in Porterville, CA on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Maximilian Kolby Mission in Springville, CA on Friday, October 11, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Interment to be private. In lieu of flowers, Rocco asked that a donation be made to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org/tribute <http://www.stjude.org/tribute>.
