Raynaldo G. Mendez

Raynaldo G. Mendez, Sr., age 59, a firefighter and resident of Porterville, California, passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2021. He was born in Asherton, Texas on February 5, 1962.
Raynaldo enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, and watching the Dallas Cowboys. His absolute joy was being with his grandchildren and great granddaughter. He is survived by his daughter, Monica Flores (Jessie Flores Sr.); his sons, Raynaldo Mendez Jr. (Raquel Mosqueda) and Anthony Mendez (Karina Hernandez); his brothers, Robert Mendez, Ruben Mendez and Armando Mendez, sister, Alicia Palomino; his grandchildren, Jessie Flores Jr., Vincent M. Flores, Joel A. Flores, Isaiah Flores, Julina J. Flores, Marilyn Mendez, Evangeline Mendez, Marina Mendez, and Anthony Mendez Jr.; great grandchild, Mia A. Flores; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Roberto Mendez and Frances Mendez; and his nephew, Julian Palomino Jr.
A visitation will be held at Myers Chapel, Porterville on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Rosary will be held at Myers Chapel, Porterville on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Cross Church, Porterville on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, Porterville.
