Nieves Baliclic Galapon

Nieves Baliclic Galapon, a longtime resident of Porterville, CA passed away on Monday, October 2, 2023. Nieves was born on April 28, 1949 in the Philippine Islands.

In 1969, Nieves came to the United States where she worked as a seamstress at Catalina Sportswear, until she retired in 2009. She enjoyed dancing, karaoke, taking care of her grandchildren, and spending time at the casino.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emeterio Galapon, Sr; parents, Ricardo and Francisca Balicic; and brothers, Julio and Ernesto Baliclic Sr. Nieves is survived by sister, Leonida Rarugal; daughter, Josephine Bolton (John Bolton); son, Emeterio Galapon Jr (Sherey Galapon); grandchildern, Jeremey Galapon, Jacob Bolton, Sharon Quiroz, Jennica McDolton, Jonathan Galapon, Jacqueline Galapon, Sierra Galapon; and Great-grandchild, Leon Quiroz.

A Visitation will be held at Myers Reception Hall in Porterville, CA on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with the Rosary being recited at 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Cross Church in Porterville, CA on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Anne's Cemetery in Porterville, CA.
