With deepest sorrow, we announce that Michael William Rowell (Mike), age 58 our beloved son, brother, family member and friend passed away at home on Friday, May 28, 2021.
Mike will be missed everyday by his parents, Del and Sue Rowell; sisters and husbands, Debra and Fred Whitten, Kathryn and Nick Marziliano; son, Justin Rowell; one granddaughter; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins; and many, many great friends.
A special thank you to his friends and caretakers, Michael Eggman, Anna Cox and Marivel Orozco; Optimal Hospice and the many doctors who cared for him.
Mike was preceded in death by his loving grandparents, Charles and Amy Kinsel and Loys and Laura Rowell.
More than anything, Mike loved having a good time with friends, family and his little dog (Coco), who was always by his side and went everywhere with him. He liked camping, fishing and boating. His hobbies included working on all kinds of engines, flying radio controlled airplanes, drones and cars. He could fix practically anything, and was always happy to help family and friends who needed something repaired.
Those who knew Mike, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives. We all miss him so much.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michael’s name to the Faith Baptist Church, P.O. Box 216, Strathmore, 93267 or the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma, OK, 73123.
