Lorrina Marie Velasquez

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Lorrina Marie Velasquez, a vibrant soul who faced a courageous six-year battle with ovarian cancer. Lorri, born in Exeter, CA, on January 15, 1978, departed on January 23, 2024, in Santa Monica, CA surrounded by her loving family.

Lorri's life was a testament to joy, laughter, and generosity. A vivacious spirit, she approached life with enthusiasm, filling each moment with love. Lorri was driven, ambitious, and always lived life as she wanted, leaving an unforgettable mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Lorri is survived by her adoring parents, Tomas and Becky Velasquez. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth and strength, remembered fondly by her older brother Adam Velasquez, and younger sisters, Vida (Chris Boston), Adrianna (Jorge Cervantes), and Valerie (Fernando Lara). As well as her beloved nieces, nephews and close cousins, Joaquin Manriquez, Brielle Manriquez, Camilla Lara, Jase Cervantes, Audrey Cervantes, Ethan Cervantes, Layla Boston, Nicolas Sanchez and Christopher Reyes.

"Nani," as she was affectionately known, was more than an aunt; she was a guiding light for her nieces and nephews. Her generosity knew no bounds, and Lorri found immense joy in being around her nephews and nieces. She was an amazing aunt whose love and care knew no limits. Her caring nature extended to all, creating an atmosphere of love and compassion.

As we mourn the loss of a remarkable woman, we also celebrate a life well-lived. Lorri's memory will forever be etched in our hearts, a reminder of the beauty that can be found even in the face of adversity. May she find eternal peace in the embrace of the heavens.

A Visitation will be held at Myers Reception Hall in Porterville, California on Monday, February 5, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Rosary will be held at Myers Reception Hall in Porterville, California on Monday, February 5, 2024 at 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anne's Church in Porterville, California on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Interment to be private.
