Jack Leland Boesch, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2023 at the age of 91, surrounded by his family.
Jack was born on September 24, 1931 to Ernest and Edith Boesch, on a citrus ranch southeast of Porterville. He attended local schools graduating with PHS class of 1950. After graduating, Jack served 4 years in the US Airforce. Upon returning to Porterville.
Jack went to work for Pacific Bell Telephone and soon married Marleah Rider. He was a member of the Porterville Parks and Recreation Committee and took part in making the motion to have the "Farmer Statue" placed at the Main and Henderson intersection. He attended Porterville First Congregational Church and was a loyal member of Porterville Breakfast Lions, with a perfect attendance for over 40 years.
Jack and Marleah traveled in their RV to 49 states. They also enjoyed visiting other countries. At home Jack liked to garden and work in the yard. He was always referred to as the "nicest guy," he loved his family, and ice cream!
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Edith Boesch; brother, Eddie Boesch; and sister, Margie Randall. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Marleah Boesch; one daughter, Kim Andrews (Doug) Nipomo CA; one son, Mike Boesch (Trish) Newport Beach CA; grandson, Wyatt Andrews; granddaughter, Allison Cunningham (Josh); and two great grandchildren.
A Graveside service will be held at Vandalia Cemetery in Porterville, CA on Monday, August 28, 2023 at 10:00 AM.
