Francine Hope Souza

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Francine Hope Souza "Delk", a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Francine was born on June 6th, 1962 and was 62 years old when the good Lord took her home on August 23rd, 2024.

Francine was raised by her loving parents, Roger and Donna Delk, since she was 14 years old, and that is when she met the love of her life, Mark Roger Delk where they formed a wonderful life of fun and adventure. During their time together they had two handsome boys, Mark A.J. Delk of Redding, CA and Phillip Aaron Delk of Redding, CA.

Francine and Mark Roger Delk are still to this day best friends. Francine lived back and forth between Vacaville, CA and Porterville, CA. When back in Vacaville she had her beautiful daughter, Emily Christine Cheshier of Fairfield, CA. Francine also has two brothers, Matthew Delk of Porterville CA and her brother in heaven, Tony Delk. Francine has seven beautiful grandbabies (and another is on the way) and two beautiful great grandbabies.

Francine worked all her life as a cook, and let me tell you...an amazing cook she was. She was a great friend to have. She loved everybody, but if she didn't she probably had a good reason, and you sure would know it. If you needed to talk, she would listen; if you needed a laugh, she would try her hardest to get you to laugh; if you needed a hug, she was right there. Francine will always hold a piece of our hearts and everyday will be an opportunity to talk about all the memories made during time we had with her. We all love you Mom always and forever holding Hope in our hands.

A Graveside service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Porterville, California on Friday, September 27, 2024 at 11:00 AM.
