Ethel Lorraine Dees

When Ethel Lorraine Markham was born on October 10, 1927 in San Francisco, California, her father, Walter, was 27, and her mother, Ethel, was 23. She lived in San Francisco, California, in 1930 and moved to Oakland, California, sometime between 1930 and 1935.

Ethel graduated from Freemont High School in Oakland, California in 1944. Ethel married her love, Oscar Culver Dees, on May 18, 1968, until his death in 2002. Ethel is survived by her son. Gary Dill; her 3 stepsons, Gordon Dees, Chuck Dees, and Doug Dees; her 11 grandchildren, Michael, David, Kathy, Shelley, Jeff, Kevin, Cortney, Jason, Becky, Barrette, and Brian; and many more great and great-great grandchildren.

A viewing will be held at Myers Chapel in Porterville, California on Monday, March 18, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A service will be held at Myers Chapel in Porterville, California on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Porterville, California.
