Carol Lenoy Day, 80, of Porterville joined her loving husband, Frank Day, in heaven on August 27, 2021. Carol was born in Bakersfield, to Arthur and Louise Scheer, on October 12, 1940.
She moved to Porterville in the early 60’s. In 1969 she married Frank Day, this lead to a life on a farm southwest of Porterville; there they raised, Keith and Kirk. She was also a loving step-mom to Gary, Tamara, and Ken. Working on the farm taught her and her boys life lessons and implanted the value of honest hard work. These times were priceless to them all.
Carol started attending Glad Tidings Church (now Touchpoint Christian Center) in 1980, where she actively served in many areas until the last year of her life. One area she loved was cleaning the church on a weekly basis. Carol would often tell us, with a smile from ear to ear, that she would be cleaning toilets in heaven. She loved helping wherever she could, it also gave her great joy to give to others.
She is survived by three sisters, Patricia Schoop, Linda (CL) McAdoo, and Evelyn (Jeff) Scott; her two sons, Keith (Tammy) Kizziar and Kirk (Anita) Kizziar; three step-children, Gary (Belinda) Day, Tamara (Al) Evenson, and Ken (Leesa) Day; many grandchildren (of which she had a hand in raising Mitchell Kizziar); and numerous great-grandchildren (of which she had a hand in raising Matthew DeLeon).
The family would like to thank Quail Park Memory Care Facility in Visalia for the excellent loving care they provided and the many loving stories they shared.
We will be celebrating this amazing lady’s life at Touchpoint Christian Center, Porterville on September 10, 2021 at 10:30 AM, with graveside services immediately following at Woodville Cemetery.
