Bill Litsey passed away on March 9, 2022, at the age of 90. Bill is survived by his wife Bea Litsey, and his children Kay Litsey and Alan Litsey, daughter-in-law Diane Litsey and grandchildren Rosalind Litsey and Trevor Litsey. Bill was a proud veteran and served in the Korean war. He will be dearly missed by his family and his many friends in Porterville. A house painting contractor, master of color and professionalism, Bill’s knowledge and skill transformed countless home in Porterville and surrounding cities. He thoroughly enjoyed the profession that he practiced for over 50 years. Bill passed on his love of country music, keen appreciation of Paul Harvey, curiosity and embrace of change in how we do things with his loved ones. Once when Charlie Pride was singing on tv he quipped, “Why would a guy want to sing country music when there are all these houses to be painted?” He devoted his career to making our world fresh. Bill valued plain talk, honesty, and learning from experience. “Sometimes a setback is a set up,” he advised. Bill’s grounded spirit inspired others to bring their best to each other and the world. A visitation will be held at Myers Funeral Service on Thursday, March 17th from 4:00-7:00 pm. A celebration of Bill’s life will be held on a future date with his family and friends.
