Ardith Eggman, 95, passed away on March 11, 2020 in Tulare, CA. He was born on August 11, 1924 in The Dalles, Oregon, to Arthur Eggman and Judith Victoria Fears. He was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The Eggman clan were migrant farmworkers, working fields and orchards in season from Canada to Mexico until ultimately settling in rural Tulare County in the mid 1930s. He served in U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) Utility Squadron 252 (VMJ-252) in the Pacific during World War II and 2nd Battalion 2nd Marines during the Korean War.
He married the love of his life, Beaulah Mae Reeves in August 1947 and Settled in Tulare County. There he and Beaulah raised six children and founded Eggman Family Honey, a bee apiary in Terra Bella, Calif.
Ardith was known for his immense kindness and generosity. He was a man of gentle spirit and strong character. His belief in God, family, and country was exemplary. Ardith was a strong supporter of the Boy Scouts of America, serving as a scout master and scout commissioner for many years. He lived by the Scout Motto – “To do one's duty to God and country and to obey the Scout Law; To help other people at all times; To keep himself physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight”.
He is survived by his six children; Arvada. Gail, Arthur, Russell, Philip, and Allen; her 21 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Beaulah, his mother and father, five brothers, and one sister. A private graveside service will be held on March 23 at the time of interment at Woodville Public Cemetery, located at 17203 Avenue 168, in Woodville, CA.
