Anatalia Reonal Foronda

On November 4, 2021, Anatalia Reonal Foronda, age 102, of Porterville passed away peacefully in the comforts of her loved ones after being diagnosed with end-stage renal disease.
Anatalia was born on July 13, 1919 in Tamorong, Santa Catalina, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. It is there that she met and married the love of her life, Maximino Flores Foronda. Together they had 9 children. In 1960, she became widowed and had to overcome many obstacles as the sole provider for her family. Anatalia came to the United States, in 1983, in search of a better life and resided in Porterville, CA. She worked in agriculture until the ripe age of 75.
Anatalia was so much more than her struggles. She enjoyed the simple things like gardening, cooking, and watching nba basketball. She was a great woman of faith and selfless in her actions. She was tiny in stature but she had the most gigantic heart. Family meant everything to her. She was a devoted wife and mother, and she loved and adored all 121 of her grandchildren: 32 grandchildren, 72 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed, but we take comfort in knowing that she is at peace and surrounded by light.
Anatalia is survived by her daughter Clara Rabaino of Porterville, her daughter Maxima Rabang of Porterville, her daughter Caring Dela Cruz of Porterville, her son Adriano and his wife Perfectua of Kauai, HI, her daughter Tessie Raping and her husband Felipe Obana of Porterville, and her son Marc and his wife Lenora of Porterville; and her many grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Maximino Flores Foronda, her daughters, Leonida Savaedra, Sotera Foronda, and Illuminada Foronda.
A Visitation will be held at Myers Reception Hall, Porterville on Monday, November 29, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Rosary will be held at Myers Reception Hall, Porterville on Monday, November 29, 2021 at 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Cross Church, Porterville on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 9:00 AM. Interment to follow at St. Anne's Cemetery, Porterville.
