Alice Fay Cobbs

Alice Fay Cobbs, peacefully passed away on January 14, 2024, at the age of 81 in Porterville, CA. Born on March 28, 1942, in Paducah, Texas, Alice was the beloved daughter of Raymond and Lola Locke. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Donald Cobbs, her parents Raymond and Lola Locke, her mother and father-in-law, Cecil and Daisy Cobbs, her brother-in-law, Harold Cobbs, her great nephew, Tyler Curry, and her grandparents.

Alice, a smart and level-headed woman, was adored by her family and known for her wise counsel. She will be deeply missed by her children, Cinda Woodard (Greg) and Jami Cobbs Dupuy (Bobby), her grandchildren, Alicia Zayas (Nathan), Nathan Woodard, and Sonny Dupuy, and her great-grandchildren, Lorenzo Zayas and Dominic Zayas. She is also survived by her four siblings, Bobby Locke (Joyce), Wanda Locke Dempsie (Robert), Peggy Benton (Larry), and Freda Jo Benton (Ed), along with numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Alice received her education in both Texas and California. She attended Porterville Union High School, graduating in the Class of 1960 (she recently attended her 60th class reunion), and went on to earn an Associate Degree from Porterville College.

Throughout her career, Alice dedicated 19 years as a Psych Tech at Porterville Developmental Center. Additionally, she and her husband owned and operated Cobbs Family Care Home for disabled individuals for 40 years. They also ventured into the business world, owning Vacation Trailer Sales in Porterville, CA.

A funeral service to honor Alice's life will be conducted by Myers Funeral Service. Contributions in her memory can be made to Landmark Christian Center's Benevolence Fund, where she attended church; a cause she deeply cared about. A Funeral service will be held at Myers Chapel, Porterville, California on Friday, January 19, 2024 at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Vandalia Cemetery, Porterville, California.

Alice Fay Cobbs will forever be remembered for her wisdom, compassion, and love for her family. Her legacy of faith in God will continue to inspire all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
